Our spine provides the structural support for our entire body. When it’s properly aligned, posture and balance improves. The low back, called the lumbar spine, bears most of our weight thereby absorbing a variety of stressors that can result in discomfort and pain. Yoga poses, which extend, stabilize and strengthen the lumbar spine, can prevent and alleviate low backache.
