By the practice of Yoga Kurunta, one gains agility, lightness of the body, speed in movements and alertness in the brain.
~Geeta Iyengar, Yoga: A Gem for Women.
Kurunta means puppet or doll made of wood. In using wall ropes we become like puppets suspended by ropes. At this workshop we will explore the use of wall ropes as an alternative way of doing yoga poses.
This practice brings more awareness about alignment and allows access to areas of the body that might be difficult to reach. Ropes also provide support which lets you explore poses differently and more deeply.
We will do a variety of yoga poses: standing, forward and backward extensions, twists and inversions. Working with the ropes is fun and sheds a new awareness on your practice.
This workshop is open to students of all levels who have access to wall ropes.
