Yoga for Athletes

Athletic yoga trains both mind and body, helping athletes develop greater flexibility, refined agility, improved coordination, and increased speed, all while sharpening mental focus. Grounded in the principle of whole-body integration, yoga emphasizes conscious, quality movement rather than mere repetition. This approach provides comprehensive physical, mental, and psychological conditioning while preventing the overuse injuries that sideline so many athletes.

Koren brings a unique perspective to working with athletes, having competed on the US National Women’s Lightweight Rowing Team. She understands firsthand the physical demands of elite athletics, the mental pressures of competition, and the frustration of training-related injuries. As a Senior Iyengar yoga teacher with over 30 years of experience and certification as a yoga therapist, she combines her athletic background with therapeutic expertise to help athletes train smarter, recover faster, and perform at their peak.

Whether you’re a weekend warrior, competitive athlete, or professional, Koren creates individualized programs that address your sport-specific needs, prevent injury, and enhance both physical and mental performance.
