Private Conscious Grieving® sessions offer one-on-one support for processing loss in a confidential, compassionate environment. Whether you’re newly grieving, carrying old loss, or navigating complicated grief that doesn’t fit neat categories,

Unlike group settings or structured workshops, private sessions are tailored entirely to your needs. We move at your pace. We focus on what matters to you. There’s no pressure to share, perform, or “be strong.” This is your time to feel what you feel and receive the support you need.

Drawing on my personal experience with significant loss, my training as a Senior Iyengar yoga teacher and certified yoga therapist, and years of helping others navigate grief through Conscious Grieving®, I create a safe container where your grief can be honored without judgment.

Each session is customized to support your unique grief journey and may include:
Grief-Specific Yoga Practices – Gentle poses and movements designed to release grief held in the body. These aren’t regular yoga classes; they’re therapeutic sequences that help your body process what words cannot.
Breathwork for Grief – Pranayama techniques that calm the overwhelmed nervous system, ease anxiety, and create space for feeling without being consumed.
Letting-Go Rituals – Meaningful practices that honor your loved one while helping you release what you’re ready to release, at your own pace.
Practical Coping Skills – Real tools for managing triggers, difficult dates, social situations, and the daily reality of living with loss.
Companionship in Grief – Sometimes what’s needed most is simply being with someone who understands, who won’t try to fix you or rush you, who can sit with your pain.
These sessions support anyone grieving:
Death of a loved one (partner, parent, child, family, friend)
Complicated, traumatic, or “stuck” grief
Anticipatory grief (someone is dying)
Miscarriage, pregnancy loss, or infertility
Divorce or relationship endings
Multiple or accumulated losses
Any grief you’re carrying alone, no matter how long ago

Do I need yoga experience?
No. All practices are adapted to your current physical and emotional state.

How is this different from therapy?
This complements therapy by adding body-based practices that help release grief held physically. Many find the combination especially healing.

Can this help with old grief?
Yes. Grief doesn’t expire. Whether your loss was recent or years ago, these sessions can help you process what you’ve been carrying.
